Remember, we'll be moving the tables and bandstand forward (we may have to push the tables back when we close the curtain)
Scene 5 - Hostesses will line up on the bandstand first, and come forward as you are introduced. Taylor Sisters not so far forward
Scene 6 - Tiny Tappers and Harmony Brothers will do their routines on the bandstand
Everyone needs to work on volume in your lines and for your songs!
Kilroy Was Here dance - Background people - by the time the music starts, be in your cluster and freeze
We'll be moving Edna to a front table, and make sure she has someone sitting with her in each scene.
Scene 14 - Edna & girls will be in the front table, boys will go to the back table
NO PEEKING from behind the curtains.
During dances, especially when marching in Don't Say No..., try to have a light touch to keep your shoes from being too noisy.
Everyone - Don't turn your back to the audience. Remember, there are people in the audience on the side as well. They don't want to see your backside.
Taylor Sisters - Don't stand when you say 'What!' to the g-men.
Scene 13 - start entering right after 'Yahoo!'
During 'Rat-a-tat-tat', we're going to have people entering to watch the performance
In German, 'w' is pronounced 'v' - for example, Stuewer is pronounced Steever.
Scene 19 - Remember, our play takes place only 2 months after Pearl Harbor. Citizens would have been very patriotic and determined at this point in time. Some of you might remember 9/11 and how patriotic everyone in the country was right after it. During the course of this song, the characters are reminded that their own problems aren't as important as the greater cause of everyone uniting to win the war. You want to evoke that mood in your behavior while you watch and as you sing.
