Pictures: March 15th

Hi Gang!  Great job today!
(I know I always say that, but that's because it's always TRUE.)

Remember, next week we're doing all of Act 1 (Scenes 1-19; Pages 1-34).  You need to know not only your own lines, but also the lines right before your lines.  Like Mrs. Kluge said, practice your lines and staging at home so you can do it almost without thinking.  The directors shouldn't be hearing things like, "Am I in this scene/song?"  We expect you to know now.  You can DO it.  = )

The songs in Act 1 are as follows:

  • Don't Say No to the USO  (Scene 2)
  • Jitterbug Saturday Night  (Scene 4)
  • Kilroy Was Here (Scene 12)
  • Rat-a-tat-tat That Rivet  (Scene 15)
  • Spies  (Scene 17)
  • Together We Must Stand  (Scene 19)
Please look through past blog posts for vocal videos and choreography videos so you can brush up on your weak spots.

Okay, enjoy these pictures whilst I work on the videos.

Didn't Mrs. Conto do a superb job on the Tappers' costumes?

I love our performing arts family!
That circle time was really neat today, Mrs. Stuewer.

The first picture is my absolute favorite. Lydia and Megan are so adorable!

Can't wait to move to the theater! I'll be practicing my lines and songs.

Oh, great! Now I'm getting sentimental! It's such an honor for me to be surrounded by such sweet, unique and talented people. The reason this production is great because of all of the members that make it up and nothing would be the same without you, yes you, who has an irreplaceable role to play on this team. Don't underestimate that role!

Alrighty, now it's time to get down to business ;) I talked to Mrs. Conto about practicing the beginning of Don't Say No to the U.S.O next week AT THE CHURCH at 11:30 a.m. before heading over to the high school and she said it's a go!

If you are a hostess or U.S.O. worker who dances in the beginning of this song, please be there so we can get it down pat. The High School is within walking distance of the church an I'm pretty sure I'll be walking if anyone wants a strolling buddy when we're done and ready to head to the school.

Please respond to this message by Tuesday so I know you got the info and I don't have to play phone tag all week ;) And if you don't, I just might have to call you or track you down- be forewarned! I already talked to Georgi, Elena and Sloane and I'm pretty sure Maria won't be able to come, so everyone else, will this work for you? Thanks :)
