I didn't get many pictures today, gang. I was a bit busy just watching & listening. I'll get some videos up later tonight for you. (I think you'll forgive my lack of pictures when you see Nick's chicken scene.)

Rules for Practice
A few rules you'll need to know before practice on Thursday:
As a reminder, go around to the back of the building and enter through Door #20. It will open at 11:45, so don't come before that.
Absolutely NO FOOD will be allowed in the building while we are practicing. (You may bring in water bottles if you are very careful with them.)
NO ONE is allowed to touch the sound system.
No running around in the auditorium, climbing on the seats, or running around outside.
I know this is going to be very different from the Mielke, but you're a great bunch of kids and I know we'll all be able to adjust. If we all stay focused on being in 'performance mode' we won't even notice the rules.
We're heading toward the home stretch. I'm very anxious and excited to see Act One again - it seems like it's been forever since we've done it. Mrs. Kluge gave some excellent advice on Thursday. Work on running through the whole act ahead of time. Clear an area in your home so you can actually walk through where you'll be standing in each scene. Visualize what action is going on around you.
Remember, our goal is to run through Act One twice on Thursday. The first time, we'll probably have lots of stopping and starting as we make sure everyone is in position. The second time, we'll try to run straight through.
And, again, Door #20!

March 22 Early Rehearsal For Hostesses and USO Workers

Alrighty, now it's time to get down to business ;) I talked to Mrs. Conto about practicing the beginning of Don't Say No to the U.S.O next week AT THE CHURCH at 11:30 a.m. before heading over to the high school and she said it's a go!
If you are a hostess or U.S.O. worker who dances in the beginning of this song, please be there so we can get it down pat. The High School is within walking distance of the church an I'm pretty sure I'll be walking if anyone wants a strolling buddy when we're done and ready to head to the school.
Please respond to this message by Tuesday so I know you got the info and I don't have to play phone tag all week ;) And if you don't, I just might have to call you or track you down- be forewarned! I already talked to Georgi, Elena and Sloane and I'm pretty sure Maria won't be able to come, so everyone else, will this work for you? Thanks :)

Hey America Choreography
Thanks again, Ritters, for such fun choreography!

Over the weekend, I'll type up something that might help us all remember the "cookin' now" (and other) sections. This song is so tricky with its different rhythms! Grrrrr....

Like Mrs. Kluge said, practice your lines and staging at home so you can do it almost without thinking. The directors shouldn't be hearing things like, "Am I in this scene/song?" We expect you to know now. You can DO it. = )

Free Ads
Great job selling ads this year. It looks like we will sell more ads than we did last year. We’ll have the final numbers for you in the next couple of weeks as money keeps trickling in. If you have any loose ends out there as far as ads go please tie then up this week.
Parents - If your family sold a full page of ads or more you are given a one-eighth page ad for free. When you make these ads please make them 1 ½” by 2” and landscape setting. You can look over prior years' programs for ideas. Please get these to the Bergmann Family by Thursday March 22nd at the latest.
