- No late nights (until performances, anyway). Make sure you are getting proper rest. Try to sleep in next Saturday/Sunday, with your parents' permission.
- Don't try to survive on junk food. Caffeine & sugar may give you some quick energy, but protein, nuts, whole grains, fruits & veggies will give you sustained energy and necessary vitamins. (Do we have any nut allergies in the group? If we do, then we won't bring nuts as part of our sack lunches/suppers.)
- Take a multi-vitamin, with your parents' permission.
- Wash your hands often.
- Try to stay away from sick people as much as you can. If you can't, then wash your hands even more often.
- Laugh! "A merry heart does good, like medicine, but a broken spirit dries the bones. (Proverbs 17:22)"
Next weekend, avoid caffeine and dairy products for a few hours before performances. Caffeine constricts your vocal chords, and dairy products coat them. (If you drink coffee in the morning or have milk on your cereal, you'll be fine. Avoid these things for lunch and supper, though. If you drink caffeine on a daily basis, don't go cold turkey now. You'll get headaches. Just try to have your "dose" of it early in the day.)
If your throat gets sore, add some honey to your water bottle. You can also have a tablespoon of plain honey before you brush your teeth at night. Just don't swallow any water while you're brushing. The honey needs to stay in your throat.
Love,
Mrs. Green

Yes, take good care of yourselves! I'm so excited for you all; may this be a fun time to remember together and a powerful demonstration of God's love. Drink it all in :) Love you all!
p.s. Mrs. Green, you are such a wonderful mother to all of us homeschool kids. Thank you :)
p.p.s. I love all the pictures of you guys, some of you have grown so much, I can imagine the costume difficulties!

Oh, and I won't be watching any of the videos of you guys, though, until I get back and watch the entire performance the whole way through; just picture me in the audience ;D :D
Hey LINDSEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I totally agree, Mrs. Green is certainly taking great care of us!
It's great to hear from you, I can't wait to perform for you!
All right y'all, keep the joy of the Lord flowing. Keep pumped! Keep inspired! Think of different ways to add to and get into your character! We are down to five day before opening night! How exciting! Listen to some favorite songs, get them stuck in your head, and sing. Practice, practice, practice. Be perfect for every scene. :)
Music that inspires me right now:
"Gladiator" motion picture soundtrack
"The Eagle" motion picture soundtrack
"War Child" by Blondie
"Titanium" by David Guetta
"Tron" motion picture soundtrack
*Remember! No portable music devices! We need to keep our heads in the game. :)*
Try doing some yoga or stretches before leaving for rehearsals...relax and get in the right mind frame! :)
Conserve your energy!
Let's make this a great show! Thanks to all of the directors and parents who have put so much time and energy into all of this...we couldn't do it with out you all. Now we need to do our best and give it our all!!
Thanks sooooo much Lindsey!
You are a great work of art by GOD! I can't wait to see u again!!!
