Four Starts Choreography

Oh, I love how this is coming together!  You're all doing a really nice job.  Keep up the good work!

Pilferin' Porcelain Choreography

Great job today Thugs and Bad Guys (Parimutuel, Caulk, Shinplaster)!  You too, Maddi!  Thanks to Ethan for stepping in for Michael today.  We hope your arm heals quickly, Michael!

Thugs Only

Bad Guys Only

All Together

Just a reminder that we're dropping the Thugs' line during the talking part of the song.  The Thugs will still sing the two lines of verse 3.  So, they will not say, "So proper and polite."  They will still sing, "No one's ever doubted that you're honest.  Plainly you're a gentleman and French."

English Accent While Singing

For Victorian cast:

I thought it might be fun to work on your English accents by singing along to a Mary Poppins song.  "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious" is a good one since it has two different kinds of English accents in it.

And here's a song that can double as accent practice AND a warm-up!  (No film clip here--just a picture.)

Have fun!

Pilferin' Porcelain Vocal Videos

This post is for Nick, Henry, Michael, & Thugs: Gabe, Chris, Steven, Conner, Peter K, & Alex.  We'll be going over this song a little after warm-ups on Jan 24th.

"Pilferin' Porcelain" has two different parts on the chorus.  The main part goes to Parimutuel, Caulk, and Shinplaster.  The back-up vocals belong to the Thugs.  This first video is the Thugs' part.  I forgot to hold up the little "Thugs" sign after the talking part, but you Thugs do sing the chorus two times there.  On your very last line of the song, the notes are slightly different.

Not to leave you older guys out, here's a video for Parimutuel, Caulk, and Shinplaster.  Your speaking lines will need to come rapid-fire in the middle of the song.  Also, your script doesn't say this, but you'll sing the chorus twice after the speaking part.  The very last line of the song has some different notes than what you sing previously, so pay attention there.

Lock, Stock, & Barrel Video

Okay now, don't laugh.  I tried singing this with somewhat of an English accent.  (Not your part, Nick.  I can't switch between French and English accents that quickly.  Pardonnez-moi, s'il vous plait.)

The optional lower parts for Parimutual and Gilbody are featured in this video, but that doesn't mean you need to do them, Nick & Georgi.  Whichever way is more comfortable for you is fine with me.  I just stuck them in here since you already have the original melodies on your rehearsal CD.

My accent is somewhat pathetic, but if you remember to hit your t's hard, lose your r's (unless the word starts with r), and say "aw" instead of "ah", you shall do well.  ~ Mrs. Green

Choreography Videos from Jan 17th

Great job today, everyone!  Here are the dances we worked on and reviewed this afternoon.

I have several vocal videos to make.  I'll do my best to get them up by Saturday night, so check back later, okay?  ~ Mrs. Green

I really like to watch Sloane in this one.
It's easy to see her footwork, since she's wearing two different-colored socks!  ; )

Alternate Notes for "Lock, Stock, and Barrel"

These videos are for Nick and Georgi.  This song was not written with a baritone/bass or an alto in mind, so I've provided a lower option for each of you.  It's up to you if you'd like to sing the original higher notes or the ones here.  I won't be offended if you don't use these.  I just don't want you to hurt your instruments (voices) by singing too loudly at the height of your ranges.

I apologize for the background noises in the videos.  I live with five other people (and a cat) and I wanted to get these clips up ASAP, so I didn't want to wait until everyone is in bed.  Thanks for understanding.  ;)
